Similar to many portable devices with electronic components, your Navdy needs to be protected from extreme heat and cold. We recommend that you take Navdy with you between trips and in extreme weather.
- Hot weather - Navdy will experience performance degradation around 127 ºF / 53 ºC and will automatically shut down at around 167 ºF / 75 ºC.
- Cold weather - Navdy will experience performance degradation around 32 ºF / 0 ºC and will automatically shut down at around -4 ºF / -20 ºC.
Keep in mind that the temperature within a vehicle differs from outside temperature.
- When Navdy detects that it's too hot, a warning Glance will appear on the Display to inform you that it needs to cool down.
- If the unit is off, the LED light on the unit will blink red indicating that the unit is too hot and will not power on until it cools down.
